Updated 10 March 2020
Athens in Greece is not yet affected too much by the COVID-19 and for this reason no restriction has been applied for the next two months, namely April and May, because the risk is considered to be low by the authorities.
Even though it is soon to predict the situation on May, the evidence so far conclude to the point that CIRP CATS 2020 will go ahead as planned from Monday, 18 May to Wednesday, 20 May, including the welcome reception and other social events, while the organisers are in close contact with health authorities and consider protective measures in place, such as sanitation material.
Nevertheless, if some authors cannot attend the conference to present their results, due to travel restriction measures in their country, we will manage presentations by video-conferencing system, including these papers in the PROCEDIA CIRP of course.
At this stage we keep going according to the original plan and we will be reassessing the situation regularly. In case of any change, we will definitely inform the participants as soon as possible. For more information as to how our event team is responding to the situation, please contact: cats2020@lms.mech.upatras.gr
